About Cheryl
Cheryl Fiello is a 23-year resident of Claremont, a parent of two young children attending Claremont schools, a dedicated and involved community member, and a former Claremont Unified School District educator.
For nearly two decades, Cheryl proudly served the Claremont Unified School District, making an impact as both a teacher and administrator. At Claremont High School, she taught chemistry and biology, striving to ignite curiosity and inspire a love for learning in every student. For 8 years, she served as a district administrator overseeing technology initiatives and teacher professional development. From her pivotal role in site and district leadership teams, standards implementation, technology implementation, and teacher training, her legacy is evident within every classroom throughout the district. Her innovative approaches to transform teaching and learning have earned her international recognition as an educational advocate, advisor, and author.
Driven by her roots and commitment to family, Cheryl left CUSD only at the calling of her family to help run her local family-owned and operated dairy processing facility. As a Quality Assurance Manager, she oversees all aspects of food safety and quality and regulatory compliance. Collaborating within a dynamic product development team, she’s committed to crafting innovative new products that exceed customers' expectations and focus on consumers’ growing demands for ethical sourcing, healthy living, sustainability, and safety.
Cheryl has consistently remained involved in education and the community. She proudly serves as the Chair of the Chaparral Elementary School Site Council, aligning strategies and resources to support student learning. Additionally, she contributes her expertise as a Board Member of the Dairy Council of California, promoting dairy education and healthy nutrition choices for children across California. As a board member of the Claremont Educational Foundation, she remains dedicated to protecting and enriching quality public education through art, music, and technology.
When she’s not immersed in work or volunteering, you'll find her embracing the great outdoors. She especially enjoys snowboarding or trekking through the breathtaking Sierra Nevada mountains with her husband of 18 years and her two adventurous children.

She is driven by a commitment to excellence, a passion for learning, and a desire to make a positive impact in the community and beyond.
